Vimba Coatings (Pty) Ltd was established in 2020 with a view to taking tried and tested, cost-effective waterproofing and floor coating products to market under the Vimba brand, a proudly South African initiative.

The formation of Vimba Coatings was sparked during lock-down when the need to be creative and diversify was most obvious.

Jean-Pierre Garrioch learned construction at Stocks & Stocks, when he led bids in Mauritius in the 90’s. He espoused the virtues of the Bitumen, Polymer Emulsion based waterproofing products he had applied on the islands and in Cape Town over a period of 10 years.

Dominic Barbieri CA (SA), with experience in various industries in general management, finance, sales, and marketing embraced the opportunity to launch this exciting Vimba range and, with the assistance of industry experts and strategic partners, to extend the Vimba offering to include additional colour options and a suite of epoxy and polyurethane and floor coatings lines.

Vimba Coatings aims to lead in the supply of high-quality coating solutions, offering its clients best-in-class products and technical advice at competitive prices.
