Vimba Coatings (Pty) Ltd was established in 2020 with a view to taking tried and tested high quality waterproofing and floor coating products to market under the Vimba brand, a proudly South African initiative.

The formation of Vimba Coatings was sparked during lock-down when the need to be creative and diversify was most obvious.

Jean-Pierre Garrioch learned construction at Stocks & Stocks when heading their bids in Mauritius in the 90’s. He espoused the virtues of the Bitumen, Polymer Emulsion based waterproofing products he had applied on the islands and in Cape Town.

Dominic Barbieri CA (SA) who has experience in various industries in general management, finance, sales, and marketing approached Connor Von Berg to join the Vimba team. Connor brings 18 years in the application and manufacture of polyurethane and epoxy floor coating solutions, bringing manufacturing and application capacity and strong technical know-how.

More recently Shane Davis, who has worked in senior management in a variety of industrial businesses, joined the Vimba Coatings team in a sales and new business development role.
